How Will the Digital Health ID Card work?
The scheme has four essential components – Unique Digital Health ID, Healthcare Professional Registry, Health Facility Registry, and Electronic Health Record. Initially, the objective of this scheme is to create a digital infrastructure for health services, which includes the above four topics. Later, the government plans to connect telemedicine and e-pharmacies through this. To generate a unique health ID, basic information of people such as name, age, location, family, and contact details will be entered into the system first.
Government and private health services such as hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, imaging centers, and pharmacies will be connected to this system. In which States will it be implemented first?
This program will be adopted throughout the country, but it will begin with only a few states or union territories. It will begin in six of the country’s union territories. It will start in Andaman Nicobar, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Daman Diu, Lakshadweep Chandigarh, and Ladakh Inn. This program will be implemented across the country soon after it begins here. Application Process
The applicant must apply for a card under this system. You will be granted a card for this health-related program. Which will have a one-of-a-kind number. To do so, you must first visit the department’s official website.
